Responsible for management of all Production, EHS, Quality, Personnel, Inventory, Productivity, Capex and Logistics functions at the facility
  • Daily supervision of all production operations ensuring that:

            -Safe work practices are strictly enforced and followed.

            -Production meets quality standards.

            -Production output meets thru-put standards

  • Manages EHS efforts for Behavioral Safety Training, Personal Safety Action Plans, MOC, SOP Development and EHS Management System implementation
  • Participates in the preparation of the factory administrative and manufacturing departmental budgets ensuring that costs are appropriately determined for staffing, inspection, variable expenses (waste removal, supplies, maintenance materials, maintenance staffing) and power, fuel, and water, and non-standard manufacturing expenses
  • Prepares, reviews, and maintains production records necessary for managing and controlling production operations and costs to assure that labor is properly distributed and quantities reported are actually produced
  • Over site of the Shipping and Receiving Department to ensure that:  
            -Employees are properly trained in DOT and HAZMAT regulations
             -All shipments are prepared to order and properly loaded and offered in accordance with DOT regulations.
            -All receivables are properly accounted for, stored, and distributed to the appropriate areas within the plant
  • Communicates with Customer Service and Sales of any inability to meet customer delivery requirements and recommends and/or implements corrective action.  Establishes and maintains on-time delivery goals
  • Maintains inventories within prescribed limits consistent with sales, seasonal demands, or direction from superiors or corporate
  • Leads team in all monthly inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Responsible for plant housekeeping within all production and warehousing areas
  • Develops and implements changes in procedures that will improve quality, improve production output, reduce costs, improve health and safety, and decrease waste generation
  • Drives Productivity and operational excellence through six sigma and lean initiatives
  • Hires, trains, and releases employees as required to meet production requirements keeping within approved budgets, standard costs, and head count authorizations. Disciplines in accordance with Grace policy and standard procedures
  • Develops, tracks and communicates plant metrics for production, inventory, quality and EHS in alignment with regional and corporate goals
  • Responsible for maintaining maintenance requirements and activities necessary to ensure the safe, efficient operation of plant equipment and systems while producing the highest quality product
  • Engages employees to become a best in class company and make Grace a safer place to live and work
  • Coaches and mentors employees to assist in their development
